The Georgetown Guest Bath
A small guest bath in a limestone house, finished in deep green stone and a single tub.
The house is limestone, north of the square, and the guest bath had been a builder’s bath from the nineties: a fiberglass tub, a mirrored cabinet, and a fan that rattled. Guests used it every holiday.
We replaced the wet wall, set a single tub, and lined the room in a green stone that sits comfortably next to the limestone in the hall. There is one mirror, one light, and a door that latches properly.
Nine weeks is short for us. The room is small, the selections were made before demolition, and nobody changed their mind about the stone.
