The Round Rock Garden Room
A family room and mudroom added toward the backyard oaks, in brick that matches the 1986 house.
The original house is brick, one room deep at the back, with a patio that had become a storage slab. The family needed a room for homework and a way in from the car that was not the front door.
The addition is a single story. We matched the brick, the eave, and the floor. Inside, the new room is paneled in wood and opens to the kitchen through a cased opening instead of a wide, frameless hole.
The neighbors asked about the brick. That is the compliment we wanted. The dollar range here is illustrative, not a bid.
